L ´ADVERBE


Introducción


El adverbio es una parte invariable de la oración que sirve para modificar el significado de:
  • un verbo: Il est loin
  • un adjetivo: un livre très beau
  • otro adverbio: plus tard
Las locuciones adverbiales son expresiones formadas por varias palabras que equivalen a adverbios.
A continuación se indican los adverbiosy locuciones adverbiales mas importantes agrupadas por su función. Si un adverbio tiene mas de una función, aparecerá repetido en cada grupo correspondiente.

1-Adverbes de lieu - Adverbios de lugar


Establecen dónde tiene lugar la acción.
Los adverbios y locuciones adverbiales de lugar se pueden identificar haciendo una pregunta que empiece por dónde:

3-Adverbes de quantité - Adverbios de cantidad


Modifican otros adverbios o adjetivos, por ejemplo aumentando o disminuyendo el significado del adjetivo o adverbio al que modifican:
Las inundaciones ocurrirán bastante pronto
En éste ejemplo el adverbio bastante modifica el significado del adverbio pronto, intensificando su significado.

11-Formación de adverbios a partir de adjetivos calificativos


De la misma forma que en castellano podemos formar adverbios a partir de un adjetivo calificativo añadiendo el sufijo mente:
admirable→admirablemente
rápido→rápidamente
en francés podemos hacer lo mismo añadiendo el sufijo ment. La mayoría de los adverbios así formados son de modo.

Regla general:
  • Si el adjetivo masculino acaba en vocal, se añade el sufijo ment:
rapide→rapidement
admirable→admirablement
éperdu→éperdument
hardi→hardiment
aisé→aisément
  • Si el adjetivo masculino acaba en consonante, se añade el sufijo ment a la forma femenina del adjetivo:

Excepciones:
1. Si el adjetivo acaba en ant o ent, se quita nt y se añade mment:

prudvent→prudemment
violvent→violemment
Excepciones:

2. Algunos adjetivos que presentan la misma forma forma en masculino y en femenino añaden ément en vez de ment:

3. En otros casos, la e del femenino se cambia por ément:
